The religious studies has been already founded for twenty years. The main and special fields are culture &religion and the comparison studies of religious literatures. This religious studies are also one of the three studies orientations for undergraduate students in school of philosophy and was founded with the admission from ministry of education of People’s Republic of China in 2001. Since 2003 religious studies was also allowed to recruit graduate students.
So far religious studies affords introduction to religious studies, philosophy of religion and Buddhist philosophy for under graduate students. For graduates there are courses for further research, including theories and methods in religious studies, religious comparison and religious dialogues, reading of religious classics, religion and mysticism, introduction to accent Greek.
Research Projects: Comparison research in Martin Luther and Hui Neng, International religious dialogues and so on.
International connections: Based on religious studies the research center for religion and culture was founded in 1997. This center has contacts with school of Theology and religious studies,in Catholic University of Louvain, Universiteit Antwerpen.
